A traditional historic Mallorcan villa with fabulous sea views
Son Balagueret is a traditional Mallorcan four-bedroom villa, part of Son Bunyola, a luxury estate in the picturesque island of Mallorca. Great privacy and comfort in a luxurious property, combined with the breath-taking surrounding coastal landscape, dotted with vines, citrus, olive and almond trees, can only create the most idyllic setting in which to completely relax and have the best time together with family or friends.
Nestled in the private estate that covers 680 acres, Son Balagueret has an elevated position on a hill that offers superb views of the Mediterranean Sea. This historic villa has its original turret, dating back to the 13th century, and the small slotted secret windows were once used to signal to similar lookout points in the area to warn of possible attacks.
Nowadays, the villa boasts a sheltered courtyard central to the house, which serves as the perfect spot to unwind or retreat to a cosy corner with a good book. To soak up the warm Mediterranean sun, guests can laze by the private heated swimming pool that overlooks Mallorca’s beautiful northwest coastline. Perfectly complementing the dramatic scenery, the estate has a large and unused historic manor house, or ‘finca’, dating from the mid-1200s.
Son Balagueret is built over three floors, including a quirky turret. The interior space oozes luxurious comfort and elegance, inspired by the stylish, yet very cosy furnishings. The villa can accommodate up to eight adults in four well-appointed bedrooms, each with en-suite or private facilities. For larger groups, there is also a daybed in the living room that can be made into a single bed for an additional adult or a double for two children.
A deluxe holiday at Son Balagueret will offer a myriad of pastime alternatives, from very relaxing to active adventurous activities. The professional team of staff is on hand to arrange from spa treatments to different sports activities.
Although the Son Bunyola estate is secluded, guests can also easily explore the surrounding area and discover the charming Mallorcan villages with museums, art galleries, boutique-style shops and cafes.
The other villas within the estate are Sa-Punta de S’Aguilla and Sa-Terra Rotja.
