Villa Chianti Classico, as the name suggests, is situated in Chianti, Italy’s famous wine region.
Chianti is not about good wine; it is about great wine and great landscapes. The finest red wines are produced in the picturesque rolling hills of the area. The favourable combination of weather and soil produces the precious red wine that is recognised as one of the best in the world.
In 2016, Chianti celebrated its 300-year jubilee of official wine making, but written evidence shows that wines have been produced in the area since before the Roman Empire.
The nearest town to the property is Castellina, in Chianti, only five kilometres away. This pretty village has a rich history, as an active wine and olive oil producer. The town has charming stone cobbled streets, and there are also parks suitable for leisurely strolls or for families with children.
