The impressive Castello del Monsignore lies in the heart of Mugello, near Florence. Its spacious grounds are ideal for large groups of friends and family to spend time together in beautiful surrounds.
Set within eight hectares of parkland, the property features a large, heated swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip. Guests can soak up the sun from the poolside sun loungers or relax in one of the many outdoor seating areas.
The beautifully-landscaped gardens include an orangery, a lemon grove, an organic vegetable garden, and a private truffle field, all at guests’ disposal. Within the gardens there is also an 18th-century consecrated chapel, where couples can say “I do” before hosting a gorgeous garden reception.
A spacious and sunny courtyard with comfortable seating is the ideal place to relax with loved ones, and enjoy a morning coffee or evening tipple. Moreover, guests can enjoy al fresco feasts under the shade of a large, umbrella-shaped tree.
Indoors, the property features traditional Renaissance elements such as a 16th-century frescoed ceiling and antique furniture, perfectly combined with modern comforts and amenities.
The ground floor is dedicated to relaxation and leisure time with loved ones. A spacious lounge with cosy fireplace and access to the courtyard provides space to relax of an evening, whilst the dining room with direct access to the garden is perfect place for enjoying convivial meals. A fully-equipped, Tuscan kitchen – complete with traditional fireplace – is perfect for preparing delicious feasts.
Furthermore, there is a games room with a pool table and a tea room with a large TV, providing hours of entertainment for all ages.
Guests can keep up their fitness routine in the fully-equipped gym located in the tower, before relaxing weary muscles in the wellness room with its sauna and hammam. There’s also an ancient wine cellar for atmospheric dinner parties and wine tastings.
Most of the bedrooms are located on the first floor; there are four suites and four executive rooms sleeping two guests each. All bedrooms have king-size beds and opulent en-suite bathrooms, including the master bedroom which boasts an oversized marble bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub and a double shower for the ultimate luxury. Along with two of the other suites, it also has a private lounge area for extra comfort. Finally, on the ground floor are two junior suites, also with king-size beds and en-suite facilities.
Guests of the estate also have access to the nearby sister property Monsignor della Casa Country Resort & Spa, with its tennis court, wellness centre, traditional restaurant, and a host of other hotel facilities and services. For larger groups, the sister property also provides additional accommodation for up to 24 guests.
