Villa La Cassinella is a luxury villa located on the romantic western shores of Lake Como. With an impressive 30,000 sqm garden, the villa is the pinnacle of luxury, having been acknowledged as one of the most exclusive, private properties on the lake. The villa is neighboured by another stunning property, Villa Balbianello; the two luxury villas share the Punto di Lavedo.
If arriving by boat to the private dock, guests will walk through the stunning gardens in order to reach the villa. The gardens feature impeccably manicured lawns, a vegetable patch, and walking paths, and stunning statues and features are dotted throughout.
The outdoor area also boasts a heated swimming pool adorned with 22-carat gold reflective tiles, and a floodlit tennis court. When it comes to relaxing, there are various outdoor lounge and sitting areas, along with a beautiful outdoor dining table where al fresco feasts cooked up in the barbecue or pizza oven can be enjoyed.
The property is comprised of three separate houses, all completely restored and offering first class modern facilities complemented by the finest Italian antique furniture, and artworks from all over Europe.
Within the main house, guests will find a grand lobby which features Senese marble floors and elegant wrought iron railing, a formal living room with wooden flooring, a marble fireplace and ample seating. An elegant dining room seats with ample seating and working fireplaces. Next to the dining room is a pantry which connects to the professional kitchen. Finally, there are six elegant bedrooms with en-suite facilities.
The pool house boasts a modern home cinema and a fully-equipped gym serviced by a spa-style bathroom. There is a spacious seating area set next to the windows overlooking the swimming pool, garden and lake, as well as a small kitchen perfect for grabbing a quick poolside refreshment.
A short stroll through the gardens is the Terrace House, which boasts living and kitchen facilities on the ground floor, and two double bedrooms with spectacular views on the top floor.

About the area
Villa La Cassinella is situated on the western shores of Lake Como. The property is 20 km north of the town of Como, near the smaller town of Lenno and can only be reached via boat.
Lake Como is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy and has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times.The area is full of artistic and cultural gems, including stately villas and palaces, such as Villa Olmo, Villa Serbelloni and Villa Carlotta.
Visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to activities on the lake with everything from water skiing, kayaking or wind surfing to boat trips and sea plane rides available. On land, visitors can enjoy horse riding, rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking or enjoy a day of golfing, wine tasting, sightseeing or shopping.
Guests can fly into Milan Malpensa or Milan Linate Airport, both around an hour’s drive away, or to the private airport in Lugano, around 45 minutes’ drive from the property. A short distance from the villa is a private helicopter landing site, and taxi boat transfers are available from Como or Cernobbio, both around 30 minutes’ boat ride away.
