Casa Badra

In the heart of the Apulian countryside between the Adriatic coast and the town of Alberobello lies the stunning Casa Badra. This lovingly-restored farmhouse featuring 11 traditional trulli sleeps up to nine guests and is the perfect countryside retreat.

Outdoor living is the focus here, with a large paved terrace offering plenty of space to relax and socialise in the warm Apulian sunshine. Sun loungers surround the large swimming pool, perfect for topping up a tan after a refreshing dip.

During the day, guests can relax on the outdoor lounges and day beds, whilst the fire pit is perfect for evening drinks and socialising. Tasty lunches can be prepared in the poolside kitchen and barbecue area, and enjoyed al fresco in the sunshine or under the shade of a pergola. There is also a vegetable garden with abundant fresh greens for guests to enjoy.

Another highlight of the outside space is the roof terrace offering panoramic views. It’s the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine as the sun goes down, taking in spectacular scenery stretching from the villa’s organic olive groves to the rolling hills of the countryside and even the town of Alberobello in the distance.

Within the trulli and lamia (another traditional Apulian style of architecture), white-washed walls and stone floors offer a light and airy ambience. The main building houses a cosy living area with a dining table, plus a small utility kitchen. The property’s main kitchen and dining area are only accessible via the garden, allowing direct access to the al fresco dining areas.

Three of the bedrooms are also within the main house. The master suite spreads across four trulli cones, each linked by an archway; it boasts an en-suite bathroom with a spacious bathtub, and direct access to the main terrace. Off the living area are two more double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms.

Two bedrooms are separate from the main house and have external access only, offering more privacy. A double bedroom is accessed via the main terrace and features an en-suite shower room, whilst a single bedroom, also with an en-suite shower room, is accessed via the roof terrace.
