Truly spectacular views from a clifftop location overlooking the Mediterranean
Built in 1400 CE and boasting a magnificent setting on the cliffs overlooking Positano, Praiano, and the islands of Galli, Villa Oliviero is a splendid coastal residence. The villa is within walking distance from the town centre of a region where for generations the inspiration of poets and artists has been ignited.
Situated at the heart of Italy’s Amalfi Coast and, like the centuries-old town which surrounds it, the property is blessed with a unique and quite unforgettable charm. It boasts a large swimming pool designed to follow the natural contours of the rocks, an outdoor Jacuzzi for up to six people, a steam room and a small gym.
The outdoor living spaces feature a poolside kitchen with pizza oven, several outdoor lounge and seating areas, and a dining terrace with spectacular sea views.
Indoors, there is a spacious open-plan living and dining room, featuring a cosy TV space with fireplace, coffee table seating, and an elegant dining table. The professional kitchen is one of the stand-out features of the property with high ceilings and top quality appliances.
The house offers six double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and dramatic sea views. For larger groups, there are two double bedroom annexes just steps from the villa, which can be rented on request (subject to availability).
The villa is approximately 200 meters from the main coastal road that passes through Positano and access is via a pedestrian pathway of about 90 steps up to the front gate.

Location
The iconic representation of an Amalfi town, Positano’s buildings cling in tiers to the rock face and the small houses huddling together are the subject of countless photos. The whiteness of the buildings is a perfect canvas for the bright flowers which decorate the houses and the small artisans’ shops with their multi-hued fabrics.
An unbelievable vista welcomes the visitor: in 1953 John Steinbeck wrote: “Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone”. More than 50 years on, his words still ring true.
The best way to get around Positano is generally by foot: there are dozens of narrow alleys and stairways that make walking relatively easy and joyously traffic-free. Otherwise an orange bus follows the lower ring road every half-hour, passing along Viale Pasitea, Via Cristoforo Colombo and Via Marconi.
Positano is ideally situated to explore other nearby towns such as Ravello, Amalfi and Sorrento. The Amalfi Coast has been declared one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites for its undisputed beauty and the uniqueness of its natural landscape.
