Bastide Margui

Located in a protected natural park in the countryside of Provence, Bastide Margui is a stunning 18th-century property set on 120 hectares. It is the perfect location for special holidays with loved ones or memorable corporate retreats.

The historic grounds date back to the Roman era when they were used to produce wheat, oil, fruits and vegetables, and wine due to their fertile land and three natural springs on site. To this day, the property produces outstanding organic wine and olive oil, with on-site tours and tastings delighting guests.

The idyllic location offers guests true relaxation and disconnection from the stresses of everyday life. They can immerse themselves in Provencal nature with beautifully landscaped gardens, sprawling vineyards, and shady forest paths to explore, lined with century-old trees and conifers.

Within the grounds is a heated 25-metre lap pool lined with sun loungers, ideal for soaking up the rays or enjoying a holiday read under the shade of an umbrella. The adjacent pool house features a fully-equipped gym, two massage rooms, and a nail and hair salon for the ultimate relaxation.

A separate clubhouse is a short walk away, offering a yoga and spin studio adjoining an outdoor tennis court. Moreover, stargazers can head to the observatory to marvel at the clear night skies.

The bastide is the property’s focal point, standing high atop a stone staircase and surrounded by lush green gardens. The spacious terraces are perfect for entertaining or enjoying al fresco dining with panoramic views. The nearby kitchen gardens fill the air with the aromas of rosemary and thyme and provide fresh produce for delectable, chef-prepared meals.

Guests are welcomed into the bastide via large wooden doors leading to a beautiful entrance hall with a grand piano. There is a comfortable sitting room connecting to the property’s chapel and a cosy, well-stocked library featuring titles from all over the world. Delicious meals are served in the elegant dining room, plus there’s an informal breakfast room.

Sitting between the stunning gardens and the sprawling vineyard is the menagerie, a space dedicated to entertainment. It features a state-of-the-art cinema seating 20, where guests enjoy exclusive access to the latest cinema releases and blockbusters. Beside this is a games room with a TV, a pool table, shuffleboard and cards tables, plus a table football set. Ideal for corporate trips, the second floor is home to a modern meeting room with conference facilities and a spacious terrace.

The nine guest bedrooms are set across the bastide’s two floors. Each en-suite bedroom features a sitting area with a wood-burning fireplace, top entertainment facilities, original artwork, and stunning views of the surrounding forests and vineyards.
