A private hideaway on the shores of Mljet, accessible only by boat.
For those looking for true privacy and seclusion, the luxury Villa Marie is hard to beat. In a hidden location on the shores of the Croatian island of Mljet, the property is surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation and can only be reached via boat.
Upon arriving at the villa via skippered motor boat, guests can enjoy a dip in the infinity pool, dive straight into the turquoise sea from the jetty, or enjoy a stroll along their own private stretch of coastline.
A wooden beach platform offers a place to enjoy refreshments in the sunshine or rest on a shaded day bed as water quietly laps the shore underneath.
The villa was built with sustainability in mind, using Dalmatian-inspired architecture designed to fit harmoniously with the surrounding landscapes. On the ground floor, stone columns line the front of the property, creating a sheltered veranda offering respite from the sun. Those looking to soak up the rays can head to the top-floor balcony or relax on a sun lounger by the pool or jetty.
Wall-to-wall bi-fold doors seamlessly blend the outside and in, allowing light and fresh sea breezes to flow through the villa. The open-plan living area features polished stone floors with decorative tiling, adding a touch of Mediterranean charm to the interiors.
The flat-screen TV is perfect for a film or games night, with a PlayStation providing entertainment for all ages. A traditional open-plan kitchen adjoins the living area and is fully equipped for preparing delicious feasts, which can be enjoyed in the indoor or outdoor dining areas.
The villa also features a well-equipped fitness room and a sauna for post-workout relaxation.
Four well-appointed, sea-view bedrooms sleep up to eight guests in comfort. Each bedroom boasts a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, with the two ground-floor rooms offering direct terrace access.

Location
Villa Marie sits on the shores of Mljet, the largest island in the Dubrovnik archipelago. Although the villa enjoys a secluded and private location – accessible only via boat - it is still within easy reach of the stores and restaurants of nearby Sobra, just one kilometre away.
Mljet is often hailed as Croatia’s greenest island, with more than 70% of its land covered in pine forests, offering plenty of trails and viewpoints to explore. A protected National Park covers a third of the island and features two saltwater lakes, Veliko and Malo Jezero, where visitors can swim or kayak. Tarmac paths encircle the lakes, ideal for exploring on foot or bicycle.
Plenty of destinations are ideal for a day trip, including Korcula, the Lastovo Islands, and the Peljesac Peninsula. Korcula has one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe, along with a dense forest inland; the waters surrounding Lastovo are excellent for snorkelling and diving; and the Peljesac Peninsula is home to the fortified medieval towns of Ston and Mali Ston.
