Villa Deckenia is a stunning five-bedroom estate in Praslin, Seychelles. It sits in a private cove with direct access to Anse Gouvernement Beach. Comprising three separate villas, the property is ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together.
On one side of the villa, beautifully-landscaped tropical gardens welcome guests. On the other side, sprawling terraces offer ocean views, and wooden stairways lead down to the white-sand beach with spectacular granite boulder formations and crystal-clear waters.
Guests can enjoy their own private slice of sand, ideal for beach parties or evenings spent around a flickering beach fire.
Along with direct beach access, the villa boasts three outdoor swimming pools, including a large infinity pool and two smaller plunge pools. Post-swim, guests can soak up the rays from the sun loungers or relax with a cool drink in the shaded outdoor lounge area.
Dining al fresco is a real treat at this luxury villa. Delicious meals prepared by the private chef create unforgettable memories of ocean-view lunchtimes or dinners under a canopy of stars.
The villa was constructed with its surrounding environment in mind, using natural and complementary building materials to integrate into the natural setting as much as possible. A tropical colour scheme, natural elements, and floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views create a relaxing atmosphere and an authentic island vibe.
Guests can enjoy a holiday read in the comfortable lounge, a film in the cosy TV room, or a refreshing drink at the bar. The property also boasts a well-stocked wine cellar where guests can select the perfect bottle for a stylish dinner party.
The villa accommodates up to 10 guests in five well-appointed bedrooms. The three bedrooms in the main villa all feature en-suite bathrooms and private terraces with beautiful ocean views. Two bedrooms have double beds, whilst the third offers a double bed, plus two single trundle beds, ideal for children.
Both guest houses comprise a double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a private ocean-view terrace with a plunge pool.

About the area
Villa Deckenia lies on the shores of Anse Gouvernement Beach in Praslin, the second-largest island in the Seychelles archipelago.
The island’s longest beach, Cote d’Or, is also within walking distance, whilst a short drive away, there are other must-see beaches, including Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette.
Visitors can enjoy various water sports in the crystal-clear water surrounding the islands, including swimming, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking. Snorkellers and divers can swim with a stunning array of marine wildlife, such as parrotfish, angelfish, starfish, octopuses, stingrays, grey reef sharks, and endangered hawksbill sea turtles.
Just a short boat ride away are the must-visit islands of La Digue, Curieuse, and Felicite, all famed for their white sands, ancient granite boulder formations, and unique fauna.
Praslin Airport is just 20 minutes away via a scenic route through Vallee de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage nature reserve. The Vallee de Mai is home to the famed Coco de Mer, a rare palm with a uniquely-shaped fruit endemic to only two islands in Seychelles (the other being Curieuse). The reserve is also home to several other unique species, including the rare Seychelles black parrot, sunbirds, bronze geckos, and tiger chameleons.
