Just a short drive from bustling Marrakesh, Dar El Sadaka is a unique property nestled in an 11-hectare private estate. It seamlessly combines the intimacy and exclusivity of a private villa with the services and experiences of a luxury hotel.
Realistic but friendly animal sculptures – designed by renowned visual artist Jean-François Fourtou – are dotted throughout the property. Outside, guests are welcomed by a giant sheep standing beside the large swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers, an outdoor sitting area, and shady day beds. The perfect place for relaxing with a good book or enjoying a poolside cocktail!
There are various courtyards and terraces throughout, offering an array of spaces to socialise with family and friends, along with a pétanque court, a volleyball court, football goals, and a table tennis set to keep younger guests entertained.
Fitness enthusiasts will enjoy the tennis court, yoga areas, and the fully-equipped gym. Post-workout, the traditional hammam and spa treatment rooms provide the perfect spaces to relax weary muscles.
Guests can also venture beyond the private grounds to explore the larger estate’s organic vegetable and aromatic gardens, wander through the olive hedge maze, and enjoy the impressive artworks.
The spacious interiors also feature a host of friendly animals. A large, bright living room with comfortable lounges surrounding a fireplace is watched over by playful, hanging orangutans. The adjoining dining room – home to a sociable giraffe – is perfect for relaxed and informal meals. To keep everyone entertained indoors, there is a library with an extensive book collection, a large satellite TV with Netflix, and a multifunctional space that can be set up as a meeting room, cinema, or party space.
Exquisite meals of authentic Moroccan and international cuisine are created using organic, fresh produce from the estate’s gardens, with the talented house chef Madame Hassna and her team catering to a range of dietary requirements. Guests can delight in an enchanting meal under the Tree of 1000 candles, enjoy an elegant dinner party in the cosy Caidal tent, indulge in a gourmet dinner on the Astronomical Terrace, or gather around the Magical Garden table, which floats in the middle of a futuristic constellation in motion.
The property can accommodate up to 24 guests in style and comfort. There are nine en-suite bedrooms set around the mimosa-covered central courtyard, sleeping up to 20 guests. Moreover, The Riad – a separate annexe, originally the private apartments of Fourtou – creates an additional family suite for up to four guests. With every room featuring unique and creative designs, guests will be hard-pressed to choose their favourite!
