Villa Zen
5 Bedrooms — 10 Guests
An idyllic retreat in the tranquil Tuscan countryside, offering sprawling gardens and two swimming pools
Set on six acres of land on the hills of Capalbio in the Tuscan countryside, Villa Zen offers an idyllic setting to relax with loved ones.
The villa boasts two swimming pools – an outdoor infinity pool and a heated indoor pool; the outdoor pool blends perfectly with the surrounding gardens with a handcrafted stone wall and wooden decking surrounding it. Guests can enjoy a dip before relaxing on the sun loungers or day beds, taking in panoramic views of rolling hills.
The sprawling gardens are home to a grove of over 250 olive trees, as well as shady cork trees, cypress rows, holly oaks, and perfumed herb bushes. There is also a beautifully-designed organic vegetable garden, providing much of the villa’s fresh produce.
A large patio is furnished with soft sofas, and a shady pergola covers an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, fireplace, and large dining table for al fresco feasts. Ideal for families with children, the patio behind the villa hosts a shaded play area with a table tennis set and pinball machine, along with a stunning feature fountain.
Indoors, the open-plan layout creates spacious areas for relaxing and socialising, with light flooding in through large French glass doors. The focal point of the split-level living room is the stunning fireplace, open on all four sides. On one side, the sunken lounge is perfect for relaxing with a good book or glass of wine, whilst on the other is a pool table and elegant dining area.
Above the main living room is a second living area with a large library of books, along with a home cinema. Soft seating is arranged around a curved-screen TV with a surround sound system, perfect for a movie night.
A large country-style kitchen is fully-equipped with all the modern amenities, and features a beautiful wooden breakfast table, ideal for children’s meals or casual afternoon teas.
There is a well-equipped Technogym on the lower ground floor, where guests can keep up with their fitness routine before taking a relaxing swim in the heated indoor pool or enjoying a massage in the poolside massage area.
Each of the five double bedrooms is stylishly decorated and offers panoramic views. The three rooms on the upper floor all feature high oak ceilings, with one also boasting a private, furnished balcony. The two bedrooms on the ground floor both have verandas and direct access to the gardens.
Surrounded by gently rolling hills and featuring unbeatable facilities both inside and out, Villa Zen is the perfect choice for a relaxing luxury holiday in the Tuscan countryside.

About the area
Villa Zen is located in Capalbio, a beautiful hilltop town in Maremma. Surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside, it is just 15 minutes’ drive from the coast, giving guests the best of both worlds.
The coast of Capalbio stretches over 12 km, and is known for its long, sandy beaches bordered by yellow Mediterranean scrub and crystal-clear waters. Some of the must-visit beaches include Chiarone, Macchiatonda and Torba.
Close to the sea is the WWF-protected Burano Lake, which is actually a salty lagoon separated from the sea by thin sand dunes. The reserve is home to hundreds of animal species from ducks, flamingos and birds of prey, to porcupines, badgers, and polecats.
The well-preserved medieval town is home to the 12th Century Church of San Nicola, a beautifully-decorated building with Romanesque columns and Renaissance frescoes. Visitors can walk almost the entirety of the centuries-old town walls for stunning views of the town, surrounding countryside, and sea beyond.
Due to its relative proximity to Rome along with its elegance and evocative atmosphere, Capalbio has become an exclusive holiday destination year-round. Every July, the town draws in international celebrities and elite visitors for the annual Capalbio Short Film Festival.
