About the area
Villa Mimosa sits on the cliffs of Port d’Andratx on Mallorca’s southwest coast. It is a short walk to the bustling harbour promenade, known for its stylish tapas bars and cafes, high-end restaurants, and exclusive yacht clubs.
Although there are no beaches in Port d’Andratx itself, the nearby bay of Cala Marmassen is ideal for swimming. Moreover, there are several sandy beaches within driving distance.
The nearby Sa Dragonera or “Dragon Island” – named for its sleeping dragon-like shape – is well worth a day trip. This uninhabited island is a protected nature reserve with a rich array of native fauna and flora across its rocky landscape, including endemic Lilford wall lizards and rare marine bird species.
