Villa Meridiana is an elegant lakefront property located on the west bank of Upper Lake Como, in the quiet little village of Pianello del Lario and only ten kilometres north of Menaggio.
A charming, single-level garden surrounds the villa, ending just three metres from the edge of the lake. The awe-inspiring backdrop of surrounding mountains and enchanting lake views sets an idyllic scene for romantic candlelit dinners under the star-filled sky or simply relaxing in the garden and admiring the sights. Guests have direct access from the gardens to a small beach where they can enjoy a swim in the lake.
The villa features a large swimming pool with transparent, retractable walls and roof (easily handled by two people). Thus, guests can enjoy the pool both during the day and at night as the temperature can be maintained at a pleasant temperature even in the evening.
This aristocratic villa has solid architecture and its elegant furniture creates a warm and welcoming ambience. The villa’s restoration and refurbishment were carried out following principles of sustainable architecture and the interior was decorated according to Feng Shui philosophy.
The ground floor includes a large hall that leads to a bright living room, an ample dining room with beautiful lake views and a fully equipped, professional kitchen. Further, there is a games room equipped with a table tennis table, a sofa and a variety of toys for children of all ages.
The eight bedrooms are all located on the first floor of the villa. There are two romantic double rooms with a private bathroom and splendid lake views. They offer direct access to the terrace equipped with two sun lounges. There is also a double and twin room both with en-suite bathrooms, and two doubles each connected to a single bedroom with which they share their en-suite bathroom. Most of the bedrooms have air conditioning, except for the two singles, which are best suited to children.
Villa Meridiana is an ideal choice for both large family gatherings and reunions with friends who would like a unique holiday experience in the beautiful Lake Como area. A small harbour is within easy reach of the property, and visitors will find many restaurants on the beach. The villa is also perfect for guests who enjoy sailing as it provides private mooring for boats.

About the area
Villa Meridiana is located in the picturesque village of Calozzo on the northwest shores of Lake Como. The town sits right on the lakefront, at the base of Mount Bregagno.
There is a pebble beach and during the warmer months, the waters are perfect for a host of water sports including swimming, kayaking, wind surfing, water skiing, and sailing.
On land, visitors can enjoy strolls along the lakefront promenade, along with hiking, mountain biking, and horse riding in the surrounding countryside.
The nearby town of Menaggio features a golf club and ferry access to other towns and cities across the lake including Bellagio, Varenno, Lecco, and Como.
