Nestled among the palm trees, Villa Angelique is a tropical home from home within the Punta Cana Resort on the Dominican Republic’s eastern tip.
Built in the style of a colonial mansion, the villa’s exteriors are impressive. Stone columns support a sweeping veranda running the length of the villa and an expansive first-floor balcony stretching across the property. From a seat in the shade, guests can look out over tropical forests and the neighbouring golf course or venture into the sun for a dip in the private heated pool.
Guests are fully catered for by full-time staff on the property who will prepare exceptional meals to be enjoyed either in the dining room or, preferably, under the veranda roof to embrace Dominican outdoor living. Guests can also choose to relax with a cocktail under the separate palm-thatched bar and lounge area, perhaps with something from the outdoor grill as well.
Inside the villa, the first floor is home to four large en-suite bedrooms, including two king-sized master bedrooms, a room with two queen beds, and a fourth with a double set of bunk beds, perfect for families. All four first-floor bedrooms lead out to the huge balcony for beautiful tropical sunrise views that can be enjoyed over a morning coffee. Downstairs, guests will find two further en-suite bedrooms with either one or two queen-sized beds and direct access to the veranda or a private patio.
Across the rest of the downstairs, guests can relax on plush cream sofas, surrounded by modern neutral tones and natural wooden accents that allow the lush green colours from outside to truly take centre stage. Guests can take a seat at the breakfast bar to enjoy a morning meal or head back outside to the outdoor lounge area and sun loungers.

Villa Angelique is located within Puntacana Resort & Club in the Dominican Republic.
