Located within walking distance of two of the top beaches of Syros, Villa Alia offers an idyllic seaside escape. Offering panoramic views, guests can enjoy spectacular sunsets over the bay each evening.
The villa is spread over 1.7 acres and built into the hillside, creating terraced gardens that blend seamlessly into the landscape. Created by renowned landscaper designer Helli Pangalou, the gardens are dotted with fragrant lavender, rosemary and thyme bushes, overlooked by carob, pomegranate and fig trees. The gardens also feature a small orangery and a working olive grove.
Surrounded by an expansive terrace, the infinity pool is truly spectacular. At an impressive 111 square metres, it features a long lap area and a shorter, shallower area with massage jets, perfect for lounging with a cocktail in hand. Post-swim, guests can soak up the rays from a sun lounger or relax with a holiday read under the shade of a pergola.
Heading up a level, there is a small terrace, perfect for morning yoga sessions, whilst the entrance level terrace offers more sunbathing spaces and another pergola with a second outdoor dining space.
The villa interiors are modern and inviting, with high ceilings, large windows and bright white walls, creating a spacious feel. The top floor is home to an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with large windows and glass doors that allow light and fresh air to flow through the space and offer easy access to the upper terrace.
Downstairs, four well-appointed bedrooms sleep up to eight guests, with the option to accommodate an additional two children on request. Three bedrooms offer king-size beds and en-suite facilities, whilst the fourth twin room has a separate but private bathroom. For extra children, the master bedroom has a separate office area with a single futon and a second double room features a dressing room with a single bed.

About the area
Villa Alia is on the south coast of the island of Syros, overlooking the Aegean Sea and the islets of Schinoniso and Stroggyli. The glistening waters of the Aegean are just a minute away on foot, whilst two of the island’s top beaches – Komito and Agathopes are also within walking distance.
Poseidonia and Finikas are the nearest villages, both around five minutes’ drive from the property. They offer a great selection of local bars, eateries, and boutiques.
Ermoupoli, the island’s capital, is also worth a visit for its vibrant culture, beautiful architecture, and port, which offers easy access to surrounding islands.
