Chateau Margui

Set in the countryside of Provence, Chateau Margui is a stunning 18th-century estate that can accommodate up to 36 guests. It is the perfect location for large reunions with family and friends, special occasions, or corporate retreats.

This historic domain dates back to the Roman era when it was used for the production of wheat, oil, fruits & vegetable, and wine due to its fertile land and three natural springs on site.

The grounds stretch across 120 hectares, offering plenty of space to relax, disconnect, and simply enjoy the great outdoors. Guests can immerse themselves in Provencal nature with beautifully-landscaped gardens, sprawling vineyards, and shady forest paths to explore, lined with century-old trees and conifers.

Within the grounds is a heated 25-metre lap pool lined with sun loungers, ideal for soaking up the rays or enjoying a holiday read under the shade of an umbrella.

For those keeping up with their fitness during their stay, the pool house features a fully-equipped gym, a spa treatment area for post-workout relaxation, and a nail and hair salon. A separate clubhouse is a short walk away, offering a yoga and spin studio adjoining an outdoor tennis court.

Gastronomes can head to the estate’s boutique to taste wine and olive oils produced and bottled on site, whilst stargazers will love the observatory overlooking the grounds.

Standing high atop a stone staircase and surrounded by lush green gardens, the Bastide is the property’s focal point. The vast terraces with panoramic views are perfect for entertaining or enjoying al fresco dining. The nearby kitchen gardens fill the air with the aromas of rosemary and thyme and provide fresh produce for delectable, chef-prepared meals.

Guests are welcomed into the Bastide via large wooden doors leading to a beautiful entrance hall with a grand piano. There is a comfortable sitting room (which connects to the property’s chapel) and a cosy library, well-stocked with titles from all over the world. Delicious meals are served in the elegant dining room, plus there’s an informal breakfast room.

Sitting between the gardens and the vineyard is the menagerie dedicated to entertainment. It includes a state-of-the-art cinema seating 20, where guests have exclusive access to the latest cinema releases and blockbusters. There is also a games room with a TV, a pool table, shuffleboard and cards tables, plus a table football set. Ideal for corporate trips, the menagerie’s second floor is home to a modern meeting room with conference facilities and a spacious terrace.

The 18 guest bedrooms are housed across four buildings – the Bastide, the Moulin guest house, the Bergerie, and the Observatory apartment. Each bedroom features a sitting area with a wood-burning fireplace, top entertainment centres, original artwork, and an en-suite marble bathroom. All bedrooms boast stunning views of the surrounding forests and vineyards, with some also featuring private terraces.
