About the area
Piz Muragl is only a stone’s throw away from the historic centre of St Moritz Bad. There is direct access to the ski areas via the Signal Bahn Ski lift that leads to the top of Corviglia. It provides the perfect location both for winter and summer sports, as here there are more than 200 kilometres of the world’s best cross country and cycling trails.
With its outstanding scenery, altitude, and exceptional snow, St. Moritz is considered one of the Alps’ best destinations for winter sports. There is 350km of pistes, across the four main ski areas of Corvatsch, Corviglia, Diavolezza/Lagalb and Zuoz, and six smaller ski areas. Each ski area offers terrain for all levels of skier or boarder.
St Moritz is also popular amongst cross-country skiers as it offers over 220 km of trails.
In the summer months, those trails are perfect for cyclists. The resort also features a tennis and squash complex with both indoor and outdoor courts, as well as a spa and sports centre with a swimming pool.
Après ski in St Moritz is a little more sedate than other well-known resorts in the Alps, however, there are still a few on-mountain après huts as well as lively pubs in the village. For after-dinner entertainment, there are a host of upmarket bars and pubs to enjoy, including Hemingway’s Club and King’s Club.
