Villa Castello is adjacent to the ruins of a medieval castle on a hill that dominates the glorious Val d’Orcia, south of Montalcino.
The heated swimming pool and beautifully-landscaped garden offer 360-degree views over the vineyards and the Sienese landscape beyond. The pergola-shaded terrace with a dining area features a barbecue and wood-fired pizza oven, ideal for al fresco feasts.
The sumptuous interior of the villa reflects the building’s rich past. On the ground floor there is the living room with an authentic Tuscan fireplace, a dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, laundry and a powder room.
The elegant sleeping quarters are located on the second and third floors. There are two doubles and one twin room, all with en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs and showers.
Villa Castello is one of 11 villas in the 5000-acre Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco estate. The estate offers two restaurants, a cooking school, a fitness and spa complex, tennis courts, a private golf course, and a chapel, all surrounded by 70 hectares of vineyards.
