Il Borro is a 10-bedroom luxury villa, nestling in the heart of an idyllic Tuscan estate that spans more than seven-hundred hectares. Located conveniently close to Florence, this superb mid-19th century property is the perfect holiday villa or wedding venue.
Since 1993, Il Borro has belonged to the Ferragamo family, who have lovingly restored it to its original glory. Today, the elegant property welcomes its guests with a diverse range of luxury facilities to ensure a comfortable holiday in complete privacy.
Utmost care has been given to the landscaping of the ornate Italian garden which enhances the view and gives the property that extra touch of sophistication. The swimming pool is cleverly positioned to one side of the property and is surrounded by verdant vegetation, making swimming and sunbathing a most pleasant and relaxing experience.
Comfort and practicality were at the forefront of the design of this stately property which has three levels. Throughout the interior, only the most expensive materials, fabrics and antique furniture have been used, ensuring the essence of elegance and sophistication. The villa is air-conditioned and has Wi-Fi internet connectivity.
On the ground-floor level, the property has a kitchen with access to a lower terrace, and laundry facilities; a few steps up are the staff apartment, wine chamber, a saloon bar and billiards room. On this level, guests can also access the gym, sauna and indoor heated pool. The wellness facilities create a veritable sanctuary where guests are invited to unwind and be revitalised.
The main level of Il Borro is undoubtedly the most formal with its entrance hall and marble staircase. There are two studies, a large drawing room, a graceful dining area, as well as a kitchen and outside, guests can enjoy looking out over the manicured Italian garden from the spacious terrace.
The mezzanine level is accessible via the main stairs, the rear stairs or the lift. Here, guests will find four stylishly appointed double bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities and access to a small sitting room with TV. There is also a kitchen convenient for storing snacks, and drinks.
The upper floor hosts six master bedroom suites, and a small kitchen.

About the area
Il Borro is situated in the Valdarno area, the perfect location for anyone wanting to enjoy the Italian countryside, while also enjoying the proximity of important cities, such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Rome. These cities are all less than 200 km away.
The seaside (Tyrrhenian or Adriatic Sea) is also easily accessed by means of the A1 highway. The property overlooks the Apennine Mountains whose landscapes are completely different from those of the Italian Alps. The peak, “Monte Pratomagno” (“The wide field mountain”) has gentle slopes that are perfect for trekking and running. The weather is usually mild – neither too cold in winter nor too hot in summer.
The Arezzo-Valdarno area also offers amenities such as luxury shops and commercial centres such as the Valdichiana Outlet Village, The Mall, and many shops selling luxury brands. However, the focal points of the area are its history and architecture. Arezzo, Florence, Anghiari, Figline Valdarno, Montevarchi, Terranuova Bracciolini, the Vallombrosa and Camaldoli cloisters are but a few of the hubs rich in culture and history.
