Villa Olous is a stunning property overlooking the magnificent Elounda Mountains and olive groves and has incredible sea views. It is the perfect destination for a sunny getaway with friends and family, accommodating up to 16 guests with ease.
With traditional Greek style throughout, there are plenty of outdoor spaces to have drinks on the terrace, or unwind in the infinity pool, and takes in the phenomenal views across the sea. There is also the added benefit of private sea access directly from the property’s sun deck, suitable for confident swimmers.
The property also boasts a Davis Cup sized tennis court, where private lessons can be arranged for those aspiring to be the next great.
The gardens feature vast olive groves and a protected Roman tank on the property, as well as a picturesque Greek Orthodox Chapel on site with incredible sea views from the patio, for those that wish to host an authentic Greek Wedding. There’s also a barbecue area and several tables to enjoy al fresco meals whilst socialising in the mild evening sunshine and enjoying a few drinks.
Indoors, the villa allows for relaxation in style. From the 600-year-old fireplaces, high ceilings and stunning vistas, it’s the ultimate luxury retreat. Guests can snuggle up and catch the latest blockbuster in the TV and games room, or retreat to the study with its fully-stocked library, along with a grand piano for the musically-inclined.
Featuring six bedrooms in the main house and another two bedrooms in the cottage, this villa can offer uncompromised family time, but also allows enough privacy to groups of friends. The cottage is perfectly suited to small families, as it is nestled underneath the tennis court, so maintains its own sense of privacy, as well as having a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and shared living, dining and kitchen areas.
Privacy is a huge part of what makes Villa Olous special, as well as the exquisite artworks throughout, and the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding sea and mountain landscapes.
NB: Sea access is via a ladder; sea is immediately deep and suitable for confident swimmers on calm days only. Due to the steepness of the grounds, the property is not recommended for families with small children.

About the area
Villa Olous is located in Elounda, a quiet little village in Crete that is perfect for a sunshine getaway. It is neither too busy, nor too quiet, and is famed for its crystalline coast and archaeological artefacts.
Historically, Elounda was known for Spinalonga Island, which was the leper colony that served Greece from 1913. This area can be visited today for those that wish to take a tour and immerse themselves in some local history.
Nearby is the fishing village of Plaka, where visitors can soak up some of the authentic Greek offerings in a quaint taverna, whilst planning a visit to the nearby Monastery of Aretiou.
Porto Elounda, Elounda Mare and Peninsula Hotels with restaurants, spa, golf and full water-sports are a 20-minute walk away, for those that wish to be a little more active.
