Makanyi Lodge

The Makanyi Private Game Lodge is a luxury game lodge which offers a real safari experience in the Timbavati, which is adjacent and open to the Kruger National Park.

Guests can get together in the main lodge which offers stunning views of the dam and amazing wildlife scenes. A large pool is surrounded by sun loungers for sunbathing or reading.

The lodge’s living area is spacious and beautifully designed boasting cosy sofas close to a fireplace and a lovely mix of neutral tones and bright golden touches.

The nearby bar is ideal for a casual drink with friends and the dining area with its authentic African style is a great choice for an elegant dinner.

The loft can serve as a quiet reading area or lounge to enjoy TV or a movie and there is also a photography room with canvas printer so guests can take home a personalised souvenir from their safari.

There are eight luxury suites, each of them having stunning views, a relaxing seating area with fireplace, beautiful bathrooms, and a private deck. They each boast a fully-stocked mini-bar, a Nespresso coffee machine, satellite TV, air conditioning, and heating.

Five Luxury Suites can be set up as either twins or doubles, for flexibility. Two Luxury Pool Suites enjoy a slightly more secluded location, perfect for honeymooners; they feature four-poster beds and a wonderful private plunge pools on the deck. The Marula Suite is the newest addition and is a private, two-bedroom suite set away from the main reserve, making it ideal for couples or families. Each bedroom features a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom and the suite boasts a private deck with a swimming pool.
