Villa Bel-Ha

Villa Bel-Ha is a luxurious four-bedroom property with a beachfront location in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico’s Riviera Maya. The villa offers total privacy, as it sits within a 50-acre, family-owned jungle and palm tree estate overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

The villa is located on Xpu-Ha Beach, a beautiful white-sand beach with turquoise waters. Guests can enjoy a private section of beach with sun loungers and a shady palapa surrounded by palm trees and sea grapes, ideal for seaside picnics or evening drinks.

Just behind the beach is the heated swimming pool, surrounded by loungers for soaking up the sun. There is also a shaded poolside lounge and dining area for post-swim relaxation.

The villa’s lush gardens are filled with tropical trees and plants, frequently visited by colourful birds. Manicured lawns on each side offer plenty of space for children to run around. The rear lawn leads to a cenote (natural pool) that separates the villa’s garden from the jungle. This cenote is suitable for swimming in throughout many months of the year.

On both sides of the villa are shaded terraces and balconies, offering plenty more outdoor living and dining options.

Designed by one of Mexico’s top beach architects, the villa has been carefully decorated in minimalist style by the owner for a relaxed, coastal feel. All the woodwork uses mahogany and other tropical woods from the Yucatan and Chiapas jungles, and there are local Mexican furnishings and decorative pieces throughout.

The spacious living room opens directly onto one of the terraces, allowing sunlight and fresh air to flow through the interiors. Guests can relax on the plush corner sofa or plan the day’s adventures at the round table.

Adjoining the living room are a bar room and a modern kitchen, fully equipped with all the necessities for preparing delicious meals.

There is a cosy TV room on the first floor – perfect for keeping younger guests entertained – with a comfy sofa, a large, wall-mounted TV, and a games table.

The villa has four spacious suites, sleeping up to eight guests, though two additional beds may be added for larger groups of up to 10 guests. On the first floor is the master bedroom and a second double; on the ground is a double bedroom and a twin with two queen-size beds. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and private terraces with outdoor living spaces.

Although entirely private, the villa is part of nearby Hotel Esencia, just a short stroll away. Guests can enjoy the hotel’s facilities, which include a luxurious spa and a fully-equipped gym, a US Open-standard tennis court, excellent cafes, bars and restaurants, and beautiful spaces for private events.
