Set on the hilltops of Garavicchio on the Tuscan Coast, Villa Sofia is a beautiful property, ideal for a countryside escape with loved ones.
An infinity swimming pool overlooks the green fields and vineyards of Tuscany down to the coast. Lining the pool are sun loungers and day beds where guests can soak up the sun and the panoramic views.
A paved terrace runs along the front of the villa, with various outdoor living areas, including a spacious lounge setting and dining table perfect for convivial al fresco meals.
The beautifully-landscaped gardens feature a cosy fire pit ideal for cooler evenings, as well as a smaller outdoor dining setting for intimate evening meals under the stars, perhaps enjoying fresh produce from the estate’s organic vegetable gardens.
Indoors, floor-to-ceiling glass doors and high ceilings create a bright and spacious feel. The carefully arranged interiors include a curated art collection that is part of a project to promote female artists, and furniture designed and custom-built by Italian artisans.
The main living room features plush lounges, shelves lined with books, and scenic views over the garden and surrounding landscape. Adjoining the living room is an elegant dining room with a 14-seater wooden dining table and a stunning crystal chandelier.
There is a selection of excellent facilities on offer throughout the villa. Guests can host a film night in the cinema room with its large projector screen, work out in the gym equipped with a treadmill and yoga mats, relax in the sauna, or enjoy a massage in the spa treatment room.
Four guest bedrooms and an additional staff room – all with en-suite facilities – sleep up to 10 guests in total. Three guest bedrooms feature custom-designed king-size beds and terrace access, whilst the fourth is a twin bedroom under the eaves, suitable for older children. There is an additional twin bedroom on the lower ground floor for those travelling with staff or perhaps teens looking for their own space.

NB: The twin room is under eaves and is not suitable for adults; the staircase is unprotected so it is not suitable for younger children. The basement room is not of the same standard as the other bedrooms and is best suited to children/teens or travelling staff members.

About the area
Villa Sofia lies in the neighbourhood of Garavicchio on the Tuscan Coast. Located on a hilltop covered in olive groves, the villa overlooks vineyards and wheat fields, stretching for miles, all the way to the coast.
Garavicchio is home to the vibrant Tarot Garden, an indoor-outdoor sculpture park filled with oversize mosaic sculptures – reminiscent of Gaudi’s Park Güell in Barcelona – based on tarot cards.
The charming hilltop town of Capalbio is a short drive away. Here, visitors can enjoy quaint bars, restaurants and cafes, and explore the local supermarkets and produce vendors.
The renowned Ultima Spiaggia is around 15 minutes from the villa. The sandy beach offers a beach club with a restaurant and bar, and plenty of sun loungers, whilst the waters are perfect for swimming and windsurfing.
La Feniglia near Porto Ercole is another beach well worth visiting for its vast stretch of sand and crystal-clear waters.
