Argentaia Estate

The stunning Argentaia is an impressive estate built on an ancient cloistered monastery, between the rolling Tuscan hills and the spectacular Mediterranean Sea. The property overlooks the islands of overlooking Giglio and Montecristo and extends over an area of 80 hectares.

This idyllic countryside retreat sleeps up to 18 guests in its nine bedrooms and suites, and with its vast outdoor spaces, it is ideal for a beautiful destination wedding or special event.

A 30-metre saltwater infinity pool extends out over lush green lawns and features a pool terrace flanked with sun loungers and deck chairs, ideal for soaking up the Tuscan sunshine. There’s also a tennis court, a motocross track and a children’s playground to keep all ages entertained.

Guests can immerse themselves in the farm life by helping collect fresh produce from the vegetable garden, fruit orchards, and hen house or indulge in some animal therapy with the resident donkeys and lambs.

Each of the four towers boasts a furnished roof terrace, creating idyllic spaces to watch the sun go down behind the lush, green hills. Across the grounds are various other outdoor lounge and dining spaces, perfect for private events.

Indoors, there are plenty of different areas for relaxing and socialising from the spa with Jacuzzi, private massage room, and fitness and yoga room, to the summer lounge, cinema room, and games room with a pool table, table football and more.

The open-plan professional kitchen features a spacious dining table for daily meals, whilst the 60-person dining room is ideal for larger gatherings and events. Wines and olive oil are produced on site and stored in the estate’s private cellar, ready to be enjoyed by guests.

Six luxurious suites are spread out across the property; three of them are set over two floors within the towers and two feature multiple bedrooms making them ideal for families. All suites in the estate offer air conditioning, luxury towels & bathrobes, linen sheets, and LabSolue candles & scent diffusers for ultimate relaxation.

Art and design pieces throughout the property’s grounds and interiors create a unique and inviting space. The property boasts works from some of the biggest contemporary artists including sculptures by Gustavo Aceves and Matteo Lucca, paintings by Clarissa Campironi, and graffiti art by Pixel Pancho.

During the property’s restoration, special care was taken to ensure it was as low-impact and environmentally-friendly as possible. By using ancient Roman techniques, energy and water waste have been minimised, whilst the stone walls and floors (made with locally-sourced materials) provide natural insulation. Fresh produce for home-cooked meals comes from the estate’s organic vegetable garden, lemon groves, orangeries, orchards, chicken coop, and vineyards.
